Robert Creeley

Naissance le 21 mai 1926 en Nouvelle-Angleterre. Un temps éleveur de pigeons, il s’installe à Majorque, où il fonde Divers Press et publie, entre autres, Charles Olson, Robert Duncan et Larry Eigner. De retour aux USA, il enseigne brièvement au Black Mountain College, dont il dirige la revue (voir « The Black Mountain Review », in CCP no 20). Cette expérience terminée, il enseigne au Nouveau-Mexique. En 1970, il habite à Bolinas, qu’il quitte pour Buffalo, où, avec Charles Bernstein, Robert Bertholf, Raymond Federman, Susan Howe et Dennis Tedlock, il fonde le Poetics Program de l’Université de New York. Il meurt le 30 mars 2005.
